Photography has played a role in Christi’s life since she was a child. Her grandpa was an amateur photographer in the sixties, seventies and eighties, and had a big influence in Christi becoming a photographer. Christi took a small photojournalism class in high school which made her interest in photography become a passion. After high school she attended the Oklahoma School of Photography in Moore, OK and graduated in 2002 with more knowledge about photography than she had hoped for. Christi went on to work for The Purcell Register as a contracting freelance sports photographer. Over the next 6 years, she worked for Lifetouch in almost every division in Oklahoma from school portraits and church directories, to department store hosted studios. She was able to put her lab technician certificate to good use when she went to work in the Sam’s Club Photo Lab from 2008-2010. Also in 2008, Christi decided to join Michael Miller as part of the Better Light Photography team. She assists Michael in capturing each special moment of a couples’ wedding day. Christi also plays a big role in the design and assembly of Better Light Photography’s hand-crafted albums.
“I am proud to be a part of this wonderful studio. Michael has so much to offer me, and together we make a great photography team. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, family session or children, or designing albums for our newlyweds, I love every moment of it. This is not just my job, it’s my passion and my life
Michael has been a working photographer since 2000 when he opened his first portrait studio. While most of his working life has been in the Information Technology world, time after time he finds himself drawn back to capture the moments of peoples lives with his camera.
“I love weddings, there is no other form of photography that allows you to see so much of the range of human emotion and then record them for all time. I hope to still be capturing these moments for many years to come.”
